my new apartment is approximately half the size of my current bedroom, it’s going to be strange downgrading from living alone in a three bedroom apartment to a bachelor. but it’s still in the plateau though! and has a tiny balcony and a full sized refrigerator, yay!
apartment hunting as a student sucks, i wish i could just skip the broke college apartments and move into a tasteful and newly renovated flat or house already.
philosophy, ireland, and university, oh my!
i’ve wanted to do an exchange in my third year of my undergrad since before even graduating high school. i’ve decided on the university college cork in ireland, they have a philosophy program and since i’ve recently changed my major, it looks as if i am a candidate. i am much too excited, even though this is still over a year away, you get to start planning your trip so far in...
my 81 year old nanny is so resilient its insane. i left four months ago, just after she had fallen and broken her hip. she couldn’t walk without someone helping her use her walker the last time i saw her. i come back and she’s walking faster than me without even the help of a cane and learning to drive again to fully regain her independence. i know this doesnt mean much to most people...
